Lara reiterated, was another successful celebration, amid looming hardship, in terms of financial constraint, in and around archepelago. Unbeatable Mayor, Honorable Leonel C. Guzman, led the day in high spirit. Together with all 18-barangay chairmen, who also led their respective officials and constituency, in a one-kilometer parade from Our Lady of Piat Basilica Minore to Don Sabas Casibang Gymnasium.

     Also present in the Opening Day rites were the newly elected-members of the Sangguniang Bayan 2007-2010, led by the workaholic Vice-Mayor elect Atty. Carmelo (Black) Villacete. The Sagguniang Bayan-Members, who are present: - Hon. Arthur Sadul; Hon. Tito Bingayan; Hon. Rovy Casibang; Hon. Lumen Asunto; Hon. David Sto. Tomas, Jr.; Hon. Marissa A. Gonzales and Hon. Eric Cabacungan (Unfortunately, Hon. Cathy A. Agustin wasn't able to make it due to high fever)

     And, of course, the former Manila's Finest, turned undefeated 3-term Mayor, Hon. Ruben Casibang was also there to grace the occassion without reservation nor hesitation, whatsoever. The most striking personality to grace the occassion was the unopposed 3-termer Mayor(re-elect) Allen Vargas Alfonso of Abulog, who represented her father, the undefeated Congressman re-elect Enciong Vargas of 3rd district of Cagayan. Mayor Allen, who, was introduced by her cousin, Hon. D. Sto. Tomas Jr., assured the Piateņos, in her address to give priority of support for the town's development for the period. Likewise, farm to market roads, health and sanitation, scholarship grants and education-facility are among the priority projects that we can hope to be coming-in Piat, in the very near future, mayor Allen, she stressed.

     Included in the occassion, who joined the parade, were the different Offices and Branches in the LGU. The PNP-Piat, led by P/Ins. Contapay. The DepEd. The PNHS. The BFD. The NSPDH. And, SCFederation.
