WelCome To The Community Electronic Centre (CeC)
The CeC is just-one of the priority project of the unbeatable mayor of
Piat, Hon. Leonel C. Guzman. It's not by chance, rather it was a blessing that this CeC-project is for Piateņos.
Coincidentally, if the representatives from the CICT didn't paid-homage to our Beloved MaMa Mary, enthroned in the Basilica Minore, we should not have been blessed with CeC. Headed by no less than the MPDC, Engr. Randy Maguigad, the CeC is a subsidiary undertaking intended to serve the internet-aficionados, obviously the-youth, in Piat, Cagayan.
It is manned by a volunteer, the proponent of the Barangay Computerization Project; at the same time, said volunter is the developer, editor and publisher of the LGU-Piat website located at: http://piat.110mb.com -- Mr. DSCaluya, however, refuses any remunation to this task. Rather, he opted to become independent as he can, just to demonstrate the emerging inspiration of the newly elected-president, P-Noy -- the so called: Private-Public Partnership.
The CeC is more than TWO-YEARS in operation. And, most of the youth are now enjoying surfing and
seaching for their talents and enthusiasm by developing their "Friendster & Facebook" pages and among other research works.
The mayor, obviously, is also very keen to see the present trends -- "the youths are having fun and enjoying their
new found technology" -- the internet.
As of this writing, the developer of the LGU-Piat website is having hardtime convincing most of the key-officers of LGU, thus having a very-hardtime to post all that ideas and proposed contents of the said-site. Needless to emphasize here, that, without the helps and guidance of the Municipal Engineer and the Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator, these writings and contributing-facts in this endeavor would not have been possible.
In addition to this website development, the-said Barangay Computerization Project, has been done through
the unwavering support of Mayor Nel, who himself run for his third-term as Mayor of Piat, unopposed in the recent May 10, 2010 national and local elections. To-date, the recent-success of the Barangay Computerization Program has laid the backbone of the forthcoming rural information centre to coordinate all the information needs of all barangays in town.
