Balay Ya Maru & SB Buildings

       The construction of Municipal Hall which was started in the mid-January 2010, is another milestone in the locality of Piat.
       Spearheaded by the unbeatable Mayor Leonel C. Guzman, the Balay Ya Maru is a two-story building, in a 700sqm up and down. Housing the entire executive staff and personnel under one-roof, the Balay Ya Maru is the centerpiece of unbeatable Mayor Nel Guzman's 3rd-undisputed term.
       The construction of Sangguniang Bayan Bldg, was suspectedly pending until a new Vice-Mayor in 2007 was elected, in the person of a hardworking Lawyer, Atty. Black Villacete, the said SB-Building was then completed in one-year.
       The Balay Ya Maru and the SB-Building are both complete with all necessities and constructed-by-administration under the stewardship of Municipal Engineer James L. Garcia, CE.

Infrastructure Develpoment

       The infrastructure devlopment in Piat has gradually increased during the three term of the unbeatable Mayor Nel Guzman. In his decade of leadership, Piat has witnessed a great infrastructure development mostly in the rural areas. Aside from its centerpiece, the Balay Ya Maru & the SB-building, almost all of the barangay halls were built during his stint as mayor of Piat. In addition, the construction of a two-storey commercial building in Maguilling Junction is underway.

Agriculture & Farm Development

       Piat has two Small Water Impounding Dam courtesy of Governor Antonio. These newly built SWIP was a dream of Mr. Tadeo Guzman who was once a member of Sangguiniang Bayan.
       SWIP's were built simultaneously in 2010-2011. It has a capacity to irrigate a minimum of 80 hectares of rice field. Under the administration of the unbeatable Mayor Nel Guzman, the northern barangays now enjoy almost three-croppings a year compare to the previous one-crop rain-feed farming.

Rural Computerization Program

       *Right-after May2007 elections, the rural computerization program was started succesfully. On July 11, 2009 said-program ends with ACTP*2009. As a result, there were 348-participants including all barangay secretaries and treasurers. There were five-cluster venues of ACTP2009 Seminar/Workshop: *Cluster1 (Aquib, Baung& Pob 1& 2)Pres. Loreto Gutierrez Jr; *Cluster2 (Warat, Villarey & Catarauan) Pres. MaryJane Garan; *Cluster3 (Apayao, Villareyno, Minanga; Calaoagan) Pres. Jimmy Pascual; *Cluster4 (Sto Domingo, Sta Barbara & Maguilling); Pres. Vincent Baliuag; & *Cluster5 (Macapil, Sicatna, Dugayung, Gumarueng) Pres. Javy Taguba. These presidents will be responsible to assists and helps members regarding matters of computer works & processes.
.          *This Rural Computerization Programs was generally succesful owing to the fact that all barangay-offices are equiped with computers and printers including all-accessories, as well.

Tourism & Beautification Program

         In the minds of many, the very sound of the name, Piat, Cagayan is synonymous with the miraculous Lady of the Hill- Nuestra Señora de la Visitacion de Piat or Our Lady of Piat. Piat has earned the distinction of being the “Antipolo of Northern Luzon”, “Mecca of the devoted Pilgrims“, and the "Pilgrimage Center of the Cagayan Valley”. Attesting to these are the millions of devotees and tourist who regularly flock to the municipality the whole year round. Over the centuries, countless testimonials confirm that Piat has earned the reputation of being the Jerusalem of the Philippines for countless generations. It is for this reason that the Department of Tourism has included Piat as a tourist destination and included in their “Fiesta Islands “calendar of activities.
